FIRST OF ALL IS, OBVIOUSLY, TO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM TO SOLVE

We were contacted by the New Business Team of a big multinational tech company in 2021 to help them simplify their acquisition process with a custom-made digital platform. Their current working process involved six months time of paperwork and interviews with many different team members.

Was even possible to make a digital product to make that experience easier and cheaper?

DESIGN SPRINT TACTICS
We always work close to our UX team and even closer to the client. That means a couple of digital/IRL workshops to clarify what we need to work on and a to create first drafts of the upcoming product. (We ❤️ design sprints)

In the case mentioned above we needed to do 2 IRL workshops and at 3 videoconference to have a clear picture of the huge work this New Business Team was doing with any new project.

We split it up into chunks of 5 days. That meant we could get feedback quickly and proceed with the project at the same time.

After all these talks we discovered a few things:
–  Projects could be split up in 4 or 5 main categories.
– synergies between people were a must but could be fostered with digital tools.
– big part of the process was a repeating formula, inspired by the Business Model Canvas

Great News! This meant we could create a basic road map of the Team based on different categories. We basically created a big form with a gamified structure that allows each PM to upload the assets needed at its own pace. When the user doesn’t know where to get the needed info (highlighted issue found on the first interviews with users) the platform will show related links, tutorials and a chat to contact assistance about it.

The project is currently being developed and we are thrilled to see it fully working.
